Our History

Driver Guides

Our driver/guides are recruited from all walks of life; students, milkman, driving instructors, palm readers, poker players! What they do have in common is a passion for the south, it's wildlife and beauty. And they are very keen to show it off to people wanting to travel and experience the deep south.

As well as being very knowledgable about the areas we travel, the native and endangered wildlife we see, they are able to organise any extra activities that you might like to do while in the area and your backpacker accommodation along the route, if you require it.

With our Department of Conservation wildlife concessions our drivers are trained to guide in these sensitive areas, so that our customers are able to get the best experiences without causing any problems for the local wildlife. Stay close to you guide to get the most out of your wildlife encounters!
