Footwear
Plenty of stairways to climb and gardens to explore so we recommend comfortable shoes which don't mind a few stairs. The gardens have well formed paths

Larnach Castle has a range of merchandise and trinkets available for sale with refreshments available from the Ballroom Cafe.

Weather is one of the beauty's of New Zealand. We think the best thing to do about the weather is not let it affect your plans, unless of course it is extreme.
Be prepared with a rain proof coat, it will double up as a warm layer if need be. At times wind can make umbrellas difficult if not impossible. Best to bring an umbrella that is small and sturdy
